Last night my roommates and I went to the honors/scholars masquerade that was held at Kuhn House. One of our roommates painted all the masks on our faces and we dressed up for the event. When we got there nobody was there. We were the only college kids and it was kind of awkward. The DJ was playing music and there were three elementary/middle school kids dancing around and having fun. We walked inside and we were greeted and offered drinks, candy, and donuts. After awhile we went back outside and decided it didn't matter what people thought, we were going to dance by ourselves. Eventually more people showed up and it ended up being a fun time dancing the night away. (:

The masquerade was a lot of fun! Dressing up was exciting and once people showed up at the dance, we had a great time being silly. Everyone was very friendly and didn't judge us when we busted out our Gangnam style moves. :P It was also nice to have the little kids around because they joined us in singing the songs. <3
ReplyDeleteInitially, I was averse to the idea of going, but Tirosh, Maggie and Lauren ultimately convinced me otherwise. I do not regret going. We met new people, danced until we were too tired to dance anymore and simply hung out with each other in a different environment.
ReplyDeleteThis was an extremely enjoyable event! It was fun getting ready (face-painting with make up?) and heading out to do something different. There weren't as many people there as I had hoped to see, but that didn't matter. We got to rock out some awesome dance moves, eat free food, and meet some new people. The donuts were good, the people were friendly, and the dancing was fun. All in all, it was a great time!
