Study abroad expo
In early September I attended the OSU Study Abroad Expo. The event was meant to encourage students to study abroad and to provide them with information on how to do so. As an international studies major, studying abroad is something that I am seriously considering. The event was a great opportunity to learn about all the available study abroad programs through OSU. It also allowed me to see just how different each program is, whether its a full semester program or just a two week program, everyone can make studying abroad work for them.

I was surprised at how many opportunities there were to study abroad, and this fair helped me to narrow which programs I wish to pursue in the future. Even though I don't plan on going abroad this year, I hope to go to the fair next year too in order to see what is available.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed going to the expo, because it is not a dream but an actual plan of mine to study abroad multiple times in multiple locations. It is good that OSU is so promotive of this and offers so much support for it!
ReplyDeleteThe study abroad expo was so informative and I enjoyed attending. I was able to talk to some very nice people about the different trips offered to students at OSU. They explained to me how different trips are recommended for certain majors and gave me brochures on all the information I needed to know. I hope to one day be able to study abroad and the expo was able to take me one step closer to that goal!
ReplyDeleteI am really glad I went to the expo. There was this one program that goes to Denmark that has a division just for neuroscience majors which is very unique. I'm very excited about that, but then I also found out about the possibility of doing research at a university abroad for a semester. Either way I definitely plan on going to some German speaking country at some point, probably during my junior year.
